Parity Commission Counter: 158
|
(Cross-posting from Deviant-Art, and my own LJ)
I'd love to have a "paper doll" of Parity on my web site, where people could drag'n'drop different outfits on her. I imagine this would require: an undresed Parity, a few different hair styles, two or three outfits, etc. It's something I'd also like to grow over time, so ideally I'd like to be able to come to some arrangement with the artist...not contract exactly, but an agreement that I'll pay them X this month for Y, and repeat the cycle when they're finished.
Can anyone out there recommend an artist who'd be pretty good at this kind of thing? Are you an artist who'd be good at this kind of thing? If so, I'd appreciate any kind info.
Thanks!

Hawking my own wares for a bit. Coming out this summer, from E Train Comics, is the first issue of Utilitarian. I mention it here, because the issue guest-stars Parity. If you've ever wanted to see Parity in a real, dead-tree comic, now's your chance.

Here's all the entries to the Halloween contest. I probably won't add these to the gallery, since I didn't commission these, but I'm definitely linking to them: kamikazekayti, CordeFR, sl44n3sh, ebonydragon, CrazyCowProductions, Zairyo, sl44n3sh, mangagirl, Liokaiser, zackri, pariahsdream, and undergrounduno. The results can be found here.
I still have several commissions that need adding, and those will come soon.

Click here for information about the contest.
Also, updates are on the way. I have about a half dozen new pictures that ned to be added.

Not exactly who you think I mean. Green Avenger artist, Abby (whose last name I don't know), was offering a deal a while back. Donate X-amout of dollars to her, and she'd draw a character. I donated, and she drew Parity.
Check it out!

There's a new Parity pic in the gallery, by woefuliniquity. Here's a small version for clicking, so make with the clicking:
Also, the Ultimate Fanfic Challenge proceeds with regularly slothfulness. I've managed to post the fic for middles, which is actually continued into "endings," which means Parity is left cliffhanging for a bit. Feel free to email suggested escapes for the Turf-colored Tanker.

Shadedarkstorm finished up a commission of Parity. It's over in the gallery, very easy to find.
Also, I should note, we're coming up on the 100th art piece of Parity quite soon. I know of a couple of commission in the works, but have no real idea what the 100th will actually be. I'm trying to decide if there should be some celebration for number one hundred. If you have any ideas, drop me a line. It's too late to hold any official contest or such, but who knows what ideas could be had.

I believe C. K. Russell, aka mangagirl, is still taking chibi commissions. The one above is, obviously, Parity and her evil-twin (superheroes still have those, don't they?) Offset. Ah, sibling rivalry. It's always fun until someone gets arrested. EDIT: Another Parity pic, by Devilita can be found in the gallery. Two Parity pics in one day makes any day a good day!

The latest update to the POP site, can be found on this page. I'm attempting to work my way through the Ultimate Fanfic Challenge, using Parity as my chosen fandom. The drabble for Beginnings is up, but fair warning: my 100 fic challenge is getting off to a slow start.
Also, the latest commission of Parity is in the gallery, and it was done by S2X. It's a bit risque, so there's no image here. It's easy enough to find though.

Drawn by Undergrounduno, Parity is sporting a toga from a recent City of Heroes event. According to Undergrounduno, "And I really see her, after posing in this skimpy toga for eight different pictures, being a bit less shocked and more annoyed that the material barely covers her." Parity is quite the trooper, yes, she is.

Suicide -- aka hcwdrifter, aka Rorshakk -- finished this commission like two days before I started tinkering with the PoP site. Since it was in the gallery already, I didn't think to stick it on the main page. However, I'm going to put it up now, just because I like it so much:
Top-notch work here! That's Parity and Clawrizza being held captive by Daniz Hawksmoore. They do escape eventually. EDIT: Managed to get the commission counter running on the site. I also got the contact form working with a nice, little AJAX system. That I'm pretty proud of, I'll terll yuh whut.

I'm checking out an update to the PoP website. Courtesy of TheFerrett's suggestion, I added a cahing mechanism to the main page RSS reader. Now it should only hit LiveJournal, at most, once every two hours -- my RSS aggregator is a bit friendlier now. Perhaps its next upgrade will be complete local caching, but Don't hold your breath.
Also, here are a few link to three Parity comic pages by DM Studios. I've held them back from the main gallery because I have a smallish script for them, I just haven't felt like adding dialogue bubbles. Until I do feel like it, enjoy the work of Darrel Miller: Page 1, Page 2, Page 3.

This Parity was drawn by Camila Toranna. If you check the face a bit closer, Camila's shown what a wondeful eye for detail she has. Parity has green eyes, but wears purple contacts as part of her costume. In whatever scuffle landed Parity in this mess, she's lost a contact. :)
